Rahmanullah Gurbaz got hurt during the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The game took place on June 24 at the Arnos Vale Ground in St Vincent. Gurbaz was keeping wickets when a ball from Naveen-ul-Haq's first over bounced badly and hit him on the unprotected side of his knee. This caused him a lot of pain.
The medical team came to help him, but he was in so much pain that they had to carry him off the field. Mohammad Ishaq came in to replace him, making his first appearance in the T20 World Cup.

Early Life
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. He grew up in a challenging environment but found joy in playing cricket. As a child, he used improvised equipment to play the game. His father was a school principal who wanted him to become a doctor. However, Gurbaz was deeply passionate about cricket.
Gurbaz's friends played a crucial role in supporting his dream. His friend Mohammad Qadir helped him with transportation and bought cricket equipment for him. Another friend, Hedayatullah, shared his cricket bat with Gurbaz. Despite the initial lack of support from his family, his friends’ encouragement kept him going.
At first, his family did not support his cricketing ambitions. His brother Afsar was so upset that he burned Gurbaz’s cricket bat. But Gurbaz did not give up. One day, a former cricketer and coach named Mohammad Khan Zadran saw his talent. Impressed by Gurbaz’s skills, Zadran invited him to join a cricket academy and helped him develop his game further.
Career
Rahmanullah Gurbaz started his cricket career by playing for Afghanistan A against Zimbabwe A in January 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Mis Ainak Knights in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League and his first-class debut for Mis Ainak Region in 2018.
Gurbaz has played for various domestic teams in Afghanistan and other countries. In September 2018, he was selected to play in the Afghanistan Premier League. He also played for the Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League and the Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League.
In 2021, Gurbaz joined the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League. He later played for the Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League and Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League. In the Indian Premier League, he played for Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Gurbaz made his international debut for Afghanistan in September 2019 in a T20 match against Zimbabwe. He made his ODI debut in January 2021 against Ireland, where he scored a century. Gurbaz has been part of Afghanistan’s squad in major tournaments like the ICC Men's T20 World Cup and the Cricket World Cup.
